Miniature World - the Felber Collection

Albany Historical Society is proud to present a new attraction at the Albany Convict Gaol.

Miniature World has been donated to the City of Albany by Bill Felber, as a testament to his much loved late wife, Edith.

Albany Historical Society has accepted custodianship of the collection, which will remain on display at the Gaol for at least 12 months, whilst efforts are made to find a permanent home for it.

In July 2007, this amazing exhibition, including miniature houses, hospital, shopping centre, art gallery, church and even a castle, was opened to the public in its temporary home at the Albany Convict Gaol.

Intricately detailed and quirkily humorous, this cross-section of everyday life will be enjoyed by young and old alike.

Entrance to the exhibition is included in the price of admission to the Gaol.

Visitors may wish to express their appreciation by placing a donation in the Royal Flying Doctor collection box, continuing the tradition set in place by the Felbers of directing funds raised through the collection to that cause.

We hope you enjoy the exhibition, a small sample of which is shown below.
